Machine Screw AnchorsMachine Screw AnchorsMachine Screw Anchors are considered to be the "female" type of concrete anchor which is designed for anchorage into concrete and other base materials like brick and block. A machine bolt anchor is made up of two parts: the threaded internal cone and the outer sleeve. The former is made from zinc plated low carbon steel while the outer sleeve is made from rust-resistant materials. This is called the "female anchor" because it is set into a base material and then a screw or bolt is inserted through the fixture and into the concrete anchor. Machine screw anchors require the use of a setting tool, and each anchor has its own unique setting tool. The setting tool is used to push the outer sleeve into the hole while the internal cone will cause it to expand to fill the hole. Because of their typically short length, the "female anchor" is ideal for shallow holes, where a machine screw threaded fastener or a cap screw is also utilized. This is not recommended for overhead installations. These machine screw anchors allow for replacement or removal of a previous installation without losing its strength or holding value. While its body can fit into hole irregularities to establish a strong hold, keep in mind that the diameter of the hole to be drilled should be the same as the outside diameter of the machine screw. Also, one must utilize a hammer drill because it creates the best quality of hole. Here are the machine screw or machine bolt anchors we have in stock: |
